From the people who brought you the late, great Doomed comes the return of the grandfather of horror/sci-fi mags, Famous Monsters of Filmland!
I was excited to see FMOF return from the grave as it were, under the banner of IDW, one of the best comics publishers out there. While the contents and price-point are a little more upscale than the original series, the contents are comfortingly familiar--articles on Predator, True Blood, Resident Evil, an interview with Ray Bradbury, and a long tribute to Forry Ackerman. Why, there's even some Captain Company pages, and an article or two by my pal April Snellings.
I'm not going to feature any of the insides (the binding makes it really hard to scan), but you can learn more about it (and upcoming issues) here. Suffice it to say, I'll be picking up the next issue.
