"Mighty Marvel Makes It In Color" Ad

Try as I might, I just couldn't find the time to post yesterday, my first missed day since early June. Drat! I've definitely found doing something every single day is part of the fun for me.

Anyway, I was searching for some more ads and found this curious one, where Marvel attempted to cross pollinate their color and b/w audiences, which already had to be pretty mixed anyway.

The thing I enjoy is, sure, if you read Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu, Rampaging Hulk, and Savage Sword of Conan, you'd enjoy Master of Kung-Fu, Incredible Hulk, and Conan the Barbarian. But other than the sci-fi setting, I think trying to tie Logan's Run in with Planet of the Apes was a tough sell...and apparently it was, since Logan's Run was a bust as a comic series, lasting only seven issues.
