Another Marvel ad, this one a little less visually inspired than the last two, but still fun, promoting Famous Monsters of Fil--er, Monsters of the Movies, and The Savage Sword of Conan.One thing that occurs to me when I look over an ad like this is how you really don't see many like this anymore--comics still have ads for other comics, of course, but they tend to be generic ads, not issue-specific like this.
Is that because more deadlines are blown nowadays and a publisher doesn't want to tied down to a specific date? Growing up, I loved seeing covers of upcoming comics and their release dates--it had me counting the days for some books!
